Gary Seydell, Tenor

"Thy power throughout the universe displayed."

Gary Seydell has performed throughout the United States, Australia, Fiji, Finland, New Zealand, and Italy. He has performed with The Buffalo Philharmonic, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Northern Kentucky Symphony, and Delaware Symphony orchestra, and has sung lead roles with Cincinnati Opera, Kentucky Opera, OperaDelaware, Dayton Opera, Winter Opera of St. Louis, and Opera Theater of Pittsburgh. The St. Louis Dispatch described his most recent performances as "captivating...a most impressive Canio. He brought ringing high notes and convincing intensity to the role." Recent performances include concerts in the Bahamas with Bahamian Soprano Candace Bostwick and tenor soloist with the Bahamas National Youth Choir, and a joint recital with baritone Jose Sacin at the Union League in Philadelphia.

Seydell holds a B.A. in voice from the University of Delaware, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and an Artist Diploma in Opera from The University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music where he was the recipient of the Norman Treigle Memorial Scholarship. He has been adjunct professor of voice at the University of Delaware and Visiting Assistant Professor at The State University of New York (SUNY) College. He is currently Assistant Director of Academic Advising at Wilmington University. 
Gary resides in Newark, Delaware.
